Backyard stargazers get a monthly guide to the northern hemisphere's skywatching events with "Tonight's Sky." In February, Orion strides across the night, sporting red giant Betelgeuse on his shoulder.

"Tonight's Sky" is produced by HubbleSite.org, online home of the Hubble Space Telescope. This is a recurring show, and you can find more episodes — and other astronomy videos — at HubbleSite.org.

  • I need to get a Hubble telescope.

  • If only I lived in or near an area where there isn't so much visual noise like city lights or overcast clouds...

  • Very good presentation. I wrote a song on YouTube for astronomers, regarding the four-planet conjunction. The name of the song: Sky Tonight Please Stay Blue.

  • @rideordie650r, whenever there is something spectacular or rare, its always cloudy where I live and then we miss it. NEVER FAILS!

  • I just learned something.I have always thought that Orion's belt was the Big Dipper upside down. Now, I know better and maybe I can figure out how to see the rest of the constellation. Such an interesting thing that "Tonight's Sky" is. Glad I stumbled upon it.

  • Everyone should learn this as we are becoming the universe

  • @TheeFri2 they are also know as the 3 kings...

  • Been too cloudy as of late to look through my telescope :(

Why does this month have so many views??? I'm glad to see it but a little confused lol. Last month only had 8K this is already at 88K?

  • Wow, tonight I'm babysitting my nieces and we looked into the sky and saw these bright dots. We were looking for info to see what they were and this video was incredible! Thank you for educating us. I think my nieces are looking forward to next month.

  • @unoficsforkriftriiit You'll be fine, it doesn't matter too much, as long as you like seeing the Milky Way. Now when will telescopes able of other galaxies come to the average person.

  • @Kreneep1052 it autocorrected...sorry should have said allayed

  • hey when they say a small telescope how small is small because i have a 10 inch diameter scope is that small?
