Mattie Larson. Catch Me Now.

Montage of the amazing Mattie Larson. I really wanted her to make the Olympic team but she has retired from elite gymnastics :( such a sad story. She did not compete after a not-so-good World Championships (the floor falls at the beginning of the montage). I'm not sure why she retired, I don't know if it was because of what happened at worlds or not. I really hope Mattie is happy and doing well. We miss you Mattie!!!!

Maybe I'm late to all this but did she "officially" retire. I thought last we heard was she was doing college and then we'll see what happens when the season is over. Did she ever officially retire or are we more or less assuming that she won't come back since time is precious and she hasn't said anything? I love her [and was secretly hoping that she was at the splatfest Nationals and did well and would have made the '11 worlds team haha. A girl can dream!].

I have to completely agree with the previous comment. All Olympia produces beautiful and artistic gymnasts but I'm worried there is some mistreatment of the gymnasts going on (parkettes style). I really hope Maroney does okay, it would be so sad to see her not shoot for the Olympics.

Mattie is a beautiful gymnast, unfortunatley the Olympics weren't in the cards for her. She is a beautiful dancer but I am worried that something is wrong at All Olympia. Mattie and Sam were always hurt and Nica left. I'm glad that McKayla is doing well though. I think All Olympia has some great coaches!

I love Mattie so much! She was a phenominal gymnast and always will be<3 I'm glad that she's moved on to another chapter of her life now, and I wish her the all the best! I seriously hope she sees this! :)

I love this :) Matttie is one of my favorite gymnasts of all time (along with Sam Peszek). I'm glad she's at UCLA now but wish she were still elite... Can't wait to see her in a couple of weeks :D
