I listened to the swedish version of the song when I was a kid.

In that one, the teacher drowned herself in the well, the letter-writer lost money by gambling, his friend bought drugs in the form of pills, one guy made moonshine and shared it, the camp manager got jailed when the boys started a forest fire, another poor sap swallowed his pocket knife. It all concludes with them departing to set the neighbouring barracks on fire.

The original is better.
