Do you find yourself using language that relies on fear and ineffectively motivates children? This clip introduces the concept of the language of unity, helpfulness and safety. This shift in language increases cooperation, connection, intrinsic motivation and self-worth in your children, and is a key component of Conscious Discipline. www.ConsciousDiscipline.com

  • i liked the first and last part, but the teachers guidance was a little "wrote." the kids were just repeating what the teacher had told them and wanted to hear. it lacked convincing power. but i do like the conception of fear and unity and wish it was expanded on without the teacher clip.

  • This is so true, we are so used to using fear based language to "get children to comply". I see this kind of discipline used all the time in 98% if our public schools. Its time to focus on what we want them to do rather than what we don't want them to do.
