The Legend of Fuzz. Playing this pedal for the first time, it's strange/unfamiliar AND ALSO capable of some very classic tones. And not just classic fuzz tones...we're also talking classic Atari tones, the bleeps and sputters of early game system soundtracks.

It works with a strong gate that also has a bit of a swell to it (on many settings, notes come in, swell a bit, fade, then sputter out.) It can be like using an amp with a very blown/torn speaker, or a broken pedal! But crank the character knob, and it's anything but broken--full, mean fuzz!

  • 1:08 = Radiohead?

    I hope so!

  • Yeah, I snuck a little bit in there!

And 1:51 gets close to a White Stripes chord progression. :)

  • It's called the Bit, as in 8-bit video games! :)

(That's the start of the original Zelda game music at the beginning!)

So if you want that tone...

Or, if you want a dead-speaker fuzz sound without actually blowing your speaker or poking holes in it...

It's definitely extreme for most people, but there are all sorts of noise-makers and guitarists out there, and this does the broken video game sound very well!

  • I love your pedals Devi, only you can make a pedal that make me sound like my guitar was dropped in lair of sick badgers that pissed and puked on it for weeks until a brave Mexican fireman managed to retrieve it but unfortunately he dropped on the highway and it got squashed by a lorry. Or sometimes they make me sound like I got confused and brought a 1992 fax machine to the gig instead of the guitar. I hate conventionality and thats why I use your pedals!

  • Sounds like it would sound awesome with flange too!

  • LOL!!! radiohead heck yea man

  • @myguitardidyermom12 it's not a paintjob it's an el cheapo sticker....

  • yeah i know whatchya mean but first of all the triforce is missing from the zelda sheild so it is SLIGHTLY different, plus devi ever pedals aren't too mainstream so i think it's a slim chance that they'd find out

  • I'm really suprised devi ever hasn't run into copyright problems with that paint job. Personally i think it's awesome, but corporate bigwigs aren't usually as good humored as the rest of us.

  • I dont like the sound of this one/ The soda meiser is much better

  • i liked the national anthem by radiohead on bass lol

  • if aint broken its not a fuzz well dis one bloody broken! love it!

  • thats punkrock
