  • I do that in my room to let out some steam after a stressful day for college ( I'm 21 just to let you guys know). I walk around in my room while listening to music and fiddling with my broken wrist band I call my "thing". The oddest thing is I didn't know I stim until I asked my brother and he says I do it alot. The other odd thing is I just thought I had a Learning Disability that makes my processing skills slower than normal until I looked at some of my paper says I have PDD-NOS, but mild.

  • @Gogglewearingfreak We have never told my nephew that he is autistic. He is 13 now. Would you think that he should be told, when and how? Did it shock you, or were you ok with it when you found out yourself?

  • @bplumb82 I was okay with it when I found out after looking at the paperwork my mom has when I was three years old. I didn't think of it as anything big or major. I was also a bit happy when I found out what else I have besides a Learning Disability because of the odd thing I did growing up. I think you should tell him if he asks you. I didn't know I have what I have until I was 18 years old. My mom knew but I didn't. When I did find out, I thought, "Well, that explains alot."

  • @Gogglewearingfreak Thanks for your help. Now when we do tell him it won't be so hard. He might also appreciate knowing why he does some of the things he does. He can't help it, we just want his life to be easier.

  • Wasn't four minutes and didn't look like stimming so much as playing.

  • @candistyx pretty ignorant..

  • he looks like he's having a great time. I don't know WHY any so-called expert would try to stop any child with Autism from doing these kinda things. Like loosen up, peeps!

  • I love this video! I have synesthesia besides AS and I see autism as white; yep, the purest colour indeed (the colour of light)

  • @mashallah31 I also do that in my room with the door closed to let out some steam after a stressful day of college, or the 'real world' as I put it ( I'm 21 just to let you guys know). I walk around in my room while listening to music and fiddling with my broken wrist band I call my "thing". I would do this for hours until I was feeling better or became bored with it and went to do something else.

  • @bplumb82 Just because I don't see things the same way doesn't mean I've not been exposed to the same information.
