I don't see why anyone would put themselves though so much pain like that in this day and age. Also to do so without anyone to help either the mother or baby if something went wrong.

Holy shit that made my fricken hurt just by watching that, there is no way in hell i could be a woman. Danm you girls are tough. There would be possible way i could do that even with meds and no way i would let my wife do that. I would probably pass out for her lol

You are a badasd, great job!

This is beautiful. And there's absolutely NO hurry to cut the cord, to anyone watching. The more blood your baby gets the better. These are some photos:
nurturingheartsbirthservices. com/blog/?p=1542 But don't go by the clock - a baby who is having difficulty breathing and has a cord still pulsating will benefit from having it left intact. There is NO pressing need to cut it once your baby takes his/her first breath.

I hate to keep using the word amazing, but u were. I can't think of anyone else who is better equipped to bring their b

@Atra420 at the time, I thought it was his shoulder making the birth more difficult, but later I figured out he was posterior (sunny-side up) I didn't have back-labor which is common with posterior babies, so it didn't cross my mind at first.
Most women are *capable* of birthing this way, but it is a very personal choice & understandable why many wouldn't choose to. My 3rd was a 3hr labor -- easier but also quite intense when it happens that fast!!
