Sagging Floors Repair

This house had water under it at one time. The water problem had been solved. But the damage had all ready been done. The piers had sunk causing the floors to sag.

I suppose it is too hot to wear respirators or face masks. Its cooler where I live and I always wear something under houses. We have rats,coons and cat mess. The dust alone not to mention fiberglass from insulation is awful.

@tohottohoot yep, if you watch the whole vid , We found a coon skull , Yikes ! LOL

On another job, some thing was sticking me in the back. When I rolled over to look I was laying on a snake skeleton. And me just in a tee shirt. hahaha

@bigbadsingledad , Thanks. you can get that bit at a specialty tool store. I couldn't do the job with out one. I saw a guy make a crawl space in to a full basement with one of these bits.

We came in to add girders and piers as he was digging it out. It took him abouyt 6 months. LOL

This was actually a very helpful video three years later as I have the same project on my honey-do list.

all wood bracing/sistering those areas have to be with treated wood, correct? may sound like a dumb question but i was curious.

@MillyVanillification , We did,  we took out the existing wood piers and replaced with concrete blocks mortared together and sitting on concrete pads. Sorry the vid is so long , but it's in thier some where.
