  • I would have much preferred it if it had just stayed on the opening throughout.

  • A masterpiece, my favourite Beckett play, I have been to so many performances of this, of varying quality, this is an excellent version, Harold Pinter's version at the Royal Court is without doubt the best.

  • Beckett-a rare genius. Up there with JS Bach and Dante, and a real reason to keep living. By the way, here's a good Beckett anecdote.

He was walking with a friend once in Paris (I believe), and the friend commented that it was a beautiful day, one that made a person glad to be alive. Beckett's reply? "I wouldn't go that far."

  • this is amazing. it is directed by atom egoyan and i remember seeing in london some years ago an installation by egoyan called steenbeckett, which is a combination of ... beckett and steenbeck, the machine egoyan used to edit this film. he had attached rolls for the film to slide all over the walls, floor and ceiling of a whole room and the film was projected on another big screen. john hurt is brilliant.

  • I think the most powerful piece in this film is when the recorder describes the day Krapps mother dies and later in the boat he descibes it being 'hopeless and no good going on'

  • This is a awesome performance of Krapp's Last Tape by John Hurt, I have the whole play on VHS. I'd love to see Harold Pinter's performance of the play, it got some amazing reviews.

Please post the rest of it if you can. This is an extraordinary piece and has been captured in its best light by these perceptive and talented artists.
