This is a project I did over the summer with my Dad. Using a Small Bolt brushless RC boat, I made a frame which supported a servo and arm to hold a fishing line. You get a perfect cast every time and can do as far as the radio will allow (usually about 1000 feet). Let me know what you think! This was done with a Sony Handcam HDR-XR200 and iMovie on a MacBook Pro, I hope you enjoy it!
But how does it help the boat get out there?

@minicrawlnkid I'm not sure I understand what you are confused about.
When casting a fishing line out, you usually only get it about 30 or 40 feet out into the water (average cast for me). But when using this boat, you can attach you line to it and "drive" your fishing line as far out into the water as you want, giving you a cast as far as your fishing line is long.
The boat pulls out the fishing line and releases it. then you drive the boat back.

@minicrawlnkid the boat pulls the fishing line behind it as it drives out, giving you a much longer casting distance than you might normally get from a fishing pole. The servo releases the fishing line as soon as the button on the transmitter is pressed.
