Did getting the XPA make a difference on how your receiver handles the surrounds? I am stuck between a xpa-2/xpa5 combo or just getting a xpa-3 for a 7.1 setup with the receiver doing the surrounds. What do you think?

@chrisdogmlb
It all depends on your setup. In my case, I like to consider the RMS power of the speakers I am driving (175W fronts, 200W center, 150W surrounds), so the XPA-2/XPA-3 made the best match in my opinion. This gives me enough power to drive them hard while at the same time, avoid any clipping.

Hi,I was actually thinking about getting the Emotiva XPA-5 amp paired with my Reference Klipsch speakers but i was curious to know if you had noticed hissing coming from your speakers.As you may know the sensittivity rating is high which I think could causes hissing.Your help with this issue would be great,thanks.

@mikeo55583
No hissing whatsoever. At least not any that you'll hear even from sitting very close to the speakers. Which Reference model speakers do you have?
