While enthralled with the vast array of very cool electronic gadgets coming out of Apple, how many of us ever stop to think how these products are made? With Apple being the darling of corporations in the U.S., I think we may all ASSUME that it is a leader and they are on the forefront of labor rights and employment oversight to ensure workers are treated MORE than fairly. This expose' seems to indicate differently... I can only imagine the demands made of Foxconn by Steve Jobs to meet production schedules and keep costs down, while producing superior products. If this was an expose of Exxon-Mobil or Bank of America, Americans across the nation would be OUTRAGED! Where is the outrage? Could it be that we selectively choose who we want to hold responsible? Will we holder Apple accountable for the leadership they have extolled over the years in the human rights area?

A true intellectual you are not. He’s trying to enlighten the world to what is a travesty of human rights, and you’re just an asshole, who’s the better man?

It's not like we don't work crazy hours here in the U.S. too. My dad has worked over 16 hours a day at two jobs for years. Between December of 2011 and June of 2012, I was working an average of 60 + hours a week at a contract filler. I have a friend who is an electrician who worked for 3 days straight retrofitting an oil refinery in Utah in 2007. There is people in the U.S military who work for days at a time quite regularly. This is a world issue, not just a China issue.

......you don't understand....A P P L E is one (yes ONE) company out of thousands that buy from china. Walmart, Kmart, Target, etc...all buy from china. If they had items made in the U.S then it will cost them money. Ya they could still make profit (little profit) but walmart and those other stores don't like little profit. They will higher the prices to an amount where they are making good profit. Now people would have to spend more for little. Then people will be broke...DO YOU UNDERSTAND?

....i said "if those things were made in America their prices would be 3x more then they are now. " Because it's the truth. They would have to pay their workers at least minimum wage (which is 5x more then wages in china) and they have to take in consideration of health (which would cost the company more money). I know what i'm talking about....why don't you do some research.
