you posted the dance, but not the singing of the tune ("I'm Feelin' Like a Million") that led into the dance...strange editing, lol
-
she is the one and only!!!!!!!!! and in those years was working hard to be GOOD ,no efects no computers, just Dancing and Art, and now what..............nothing like this, Bravo Eleanor!!!!!!!!!
-
So much joy in this dancing! And yes, Eleanor Powell should get more recognition - these Youtube clips help. They're how I learned about her.
-
good stuff.. two forgotten talents in the classic MGM era..
Hard to understand why Ellie does not receive more recognition for
her work.
-
She was absolutely stunning, stunningly gorgeous and her talent was unreal.
Watch 1:05 - 1:08 when she taps her heals twice, she gets great lift yet its so graceful and she makes it look so effortless. I swear if I was alive when Eleanor Powell was making movies I would have hopped a train to Hollywood and begged her ro marry me. :-)

@walt1896 His hoofing isn't half-bad, I'll give you that, but his weaknesses are woefully exposed when he attempts spins or leaps; he looks rather robotic.
-
@ErchieMcGeakle Second-rate to the likes of Astaire et al. isn't half bad. And, George did have a certain charm honed by years in vaudeville and on the Broadway boards.
-
@walt1896 He's forgotten because he was no more than second-rate and his evaluation was completely spot on.

Thanks for this video.Georg Murphy and Eleanor Powell were great persons. Their appearance are magnificent.

Love this video!!! When I watch this movie I have to watch this scene about five or six times!! I agree with the statements made by some other viwers that George Murphy was underrated! I think he was a great dancer! And I love his smile!! Thanks for posting!
Poor Senator Murphy is so often forgotten or underrated.
