My 2005 V6 Mustang Deluxe... Converted my stock exhaust, which was tight and restricted, to a dual exhaust with a Pypes X-Pype, Pypes Mid-Pype, and Flowmaster American Thunder Classic axelbacks. This conversion ran me about $550, but I got a great deal on the Flowmaster axelbacks off of craigslist (about $200 off). Got the x-pipe and mid-pipe from americanmuscle.com.

My 1st mod, but many more to come.

  • Hey hows it going. I just converted my v6 to dual exhaust with straight pipes and flowmasters but is sounds nothing like this. Are straight pipes a bad thing to have? Do i need to tune my car now that I have dual exhaust? Im not really sure, kind of new to all of this.

  • @GkzProductions What kind of Flowmasters do you have? When you say straight pipe, do you mean you don't have catalytic converters? And no, you don't need a tune.

  • @ stang1216

Both the H-pipe and X-pipe sound great, but the H-pipe is louder. If you're looking for more hp and torque then go with the X. You really can't even tell the difference in power quite honestly.

    Sorry for replying late.

  • Don't be sorry, it is a V6! It sounds really good in the low RPMs up to 3500.

  • recomend changing tires

  • If you paid to get those installed how much did it cost you?

  • @MrDallasStars18 I have 40 series flowmasters, well the way my pipes got converted is I have a y pipe where the 2 catalytic converters went to one and then one to the back. They cut out the Y pipe and just did a new pipe from the left catalytic converter to the back and left the right side there. SO it's just 2 straight pipes to the back of the car. At high revs it makes a wierd rattle sound, kind of like a rice rocket.

  • @HAYSQ

    stfu. That is all

  • @HAYSQ No shit... cause it IS a V6 no matter what kind of exhaust you slap on there it will always "sound v6".

@MrDallasStars18 Sorry to hear about the car... I'd be crushed if my 08 was totaled but you could bet your ass I'd get a 2011 with the insurance payout. I just had one question. Did you like the X-pipe? I have been trying to compare the X with the H on here but one guy has an H but the sound quality is terrible!

  • sorry to hear that man

  • @MrDallasStars18

dude, it hurts my heart to read that. hopefully it'll turn up soon
