Tommy Emmanuel Backstage Show - Since We Met

I was extremely fortunate enough to meet Tommy in person at the Toronto show on May 14, 2010. He played 'Since We Met' right before my very eyes. Not only did he play it, he signed it as well!

Needless to say, I was starstruck. I stumbled a lot of my words and was in complete awe as if I were a child watching his hero come to save the day. Literally - look at me when he started playing on MY guitar, kind of embarrassed by it actually!

Tommy is not only the greatest guitar player in the world, but also a genuinely nice, kind-hearted, personable, soul.

Thanks Tommy. I WILL get to work...little does he know how much that actually relates to me at the time!

When u got your guitar signed did you just bring it to his concert and sat with it there in your knee while he played? I would love to have my guitar signed by him! :)

Very nice dude! I always think that his guitar is some kind of magic piece of instrument, don't you? but seeing this guy play other guitars the same way he plays his own just proves that he can play guitar for the best!

It pains me much to bring this up in here, but for all of you that want proof of God, here it is! Not only did this young man's dream come true, but Tommy was (as he always is) and instrument of God...do you see how he eased his tension and invited his friend with the camera closer? Also note the tuning of the guitar...it's perfect. That's really the proof of God...if anyone has ever transported a guitar and then slapped a capo on it, this sound does NOT happen. Thank you Lord for Tommy!!

Are you KIDDING!!!!!!!! I am so envious of you having rock star access to Tommy. I just saw him in Houston up-close and personal on the front row. Tommy was absolutely amazing and the night was simply magical. You better keep that guitar SAFE!!! and never sell it - there are people like me out here that would give anything for a Tommy Emmanuel signature on our guitars. I was lucky enough to snag a Tommy Emmanuel poster from the venue that night - and I really thought I had something!!
