@myschwettyballs Yeah, and it looks as if a camera was used to record the video from a TV screen. Amateur hour!

Fundamentals of running form can make a dramatic difference in pr finish. Because I've tweeked my form from 2009's ING Miami Marathon (4:42:32) to 2010s Miami Marathon (3:45:24) and this year's New York City Marathon (3:07:23). In addition to form, leg workout routines played a major factor, but form follows function. Keep up the good work with the vids and turn up the mic.

Meanwhile Radcliffe in her last marathon konked out because of knee problems. hahahaha. Over analysis.

Thanks jack, I know that gait analysis is to flag runners that heel strike will cause injury and slow us down, but I was trying to say that even professional runners have different type of running style
I am a Mid-foot strike myself, trying to change from my previous heel strike.

no if you paid attention at all in these videos, youd know that is not what the video maker is trying to get across.
Radcliffe is demonstrating the correct form, you heel strike and you will end up with injuries. pay attention next time.

wow .. this analysis really shows all three different types of foot strike ! Paula being fore foot strike, Petrova being a Heel strike and Goucher Mid strike, Wow . . . so this shows that no matter what strike you are, as long you are comfortable you should be alright !
This is so brilliant! at first I saw nothing, but then I learned from you. It's true that there are flaws in the 2 back runners, but every runner is different- but then again I am amazed at how they can even keep up with 1st runner with their running form. If you're behind another runner, you do try to same more energy then leading runner, in hopes to successfully follow or pass the leader.
