You can't go wrong with a homemade chocolate cake! This is the best recipe I've found - perfect chocolate taste in a perfect textured cake! Perfect for a birthday or special occasion and a real treat for an everyday dessert. It's so easy!
2 cups sugar
1-3/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa
1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup vegetable oil
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water

would i be able to get away with not using baking soda?? and just use extra baking powder??

@rukshanamiah I'm not sure if the texture would be the same. It would be a shame to use the rest of the ingredients and not have the cake turn out. It's a great recipe & I always follow it exactly.
