In this lesson we negotiate the terms of our release with the world's most uninteresting kidnapper.

Request with verbs: "Will you open it?"

The lessons here are from:
Eiichi Kiyooka. (1953). "Japanese in 30 Hours". Tokyo The Hokuseido Press.
I'm not affiliated with them in anyway, if they see this as an infringement I will remove the videos-- though I will probably post my own lessons, original ones of course.

  • Will someone help me! Are u sure these are the right numbers? I thought one was ichi, two was ni, three was san .etc? Will some one tell me whats going on!

  • @RecycleMonkey There are many different ways to number things in Japanese. Those numbers are correct you named.

  • Takineko where are you??? You are so late, are you alright????? Please give us another funny lesson!!!

  • @YunaLuthien I'M ALIVE! I'm sorry, honestly, I'm thinking of skipping the next 4 lessons on numerals because they are so dated they make no sense :/ I also got hung up moving and losing my microphone. I replaced it and found my book, all is good, but I might either tweak the next one or skip it.

  • Thanks for another lesson! :D

  • Take out your own trash, lady!" Made me literally lol.

Also, I was curious about the one part where the translation was, "I don't want this box". I think it's actually, "I don't need this box"? Because I thought want was "hoshi".

  • @RecycleMonkey Japanese have different ways of using numbers. So, while 'one' is ichi, one (person) is hitori. it's different when you're just countig, or counting things.

  • Please... Post more videos... I was learning so well! And i've been practicing. I love Japanese. Please...

  • Wonderful lessons, they're informative and HILARIOUS. When will you be posting the next lessons?

  • More?

  • How many more lessons are there?
