  • I was confused by Howard's recollections of the show bc a lot of what he said contradicts Griffith's own bio (on Wikipedia, IMDB as well as his own website). Griffith said he started out as a stand up comedian (supposedly his character was supposed to be funny), but in his role on Andy Griffith, he pulled back and and used himself as a FOIL to Don Knotts- he said it "was better for the show". • Why do people have to use fun, uplifting videos like this to comment on politics? Can't we have any sites that are upbeat, happy memories of the good ol'days? Long live The Andy Griffith Show and those like it! Cheers from Canada:)

  • If ever a movie was to be made about the life of the Danish artist Vincent Van Gogh, Ron Howard could play the role. The facial resemblances are rather striking.

  • Well jamo387 nothing more disappointing to me that Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck are playing you for a sucker and laughing all the way to the bank.

  • Both living legends...

  • He still sounds like OPIE LOL!!

  • Nothing more disappointing to me than seeing Opie and Andy endorsing this sham of a president Barack Obama.

  • Mayberry in 1960s

  • I kinda see a resemblance to Andy in adult Ron! It's in the eyes.
