Bandai's "∞ (Infinite) PuchiPuchi Virtual Bubble Wrap" keychain toy was released in Japan just last year and over 2 million have already been sold. "Puchipuchi", a registered trademark product of Kawakami Sangyo Co., Ltd., is a polyethylene sheet shaped cushioning material commonly known as bubble wrap. When the air bubbles in the bubble wrap are popped by hand, they make a popping sound that is quite addicting. A double layer structure of silicone rubber is used to create the sensation of popping bubble wrap that is similar to the real thing.
