Nice little clip from Lynch here. This is why so many people love his movies. Movie-makers like Richard Kelly need to keep their mouth shut about explaining their movies and take a page out of Lynch's book, imo. ZIIIP.

Lynch is way past his prime and got nothing good lately.

On the other hand, Christopher Nolan's work is beating Lynch's critically and financially.

Hopefully, Lynch will put away his artsy-fartsy-ness away for once and come back to Hollywood to do something like the Elephant Man, Blue Velvet, Dune or Straight Story. If he does it, for sure he'll get a sympathy Oscar, which can help him leverage against the studios who tries to mess with him.

very true and unfortunate that artists such as Lynch in modern America are swatted like flies. If you have been to art school, you will see that they overwhelmingly want Richard Kelly's, not Lynches. That's why Asian/European art has always been better. Even in music, America has never passed the Brits. This isn't coincidence, it's the fact that America has no concept that an artist operates subconsciously.Everything must be explained and commoditized...it's one of this society's major tragedies
