  • how does the smoke go from first chamber into the first leg of the run ? maybe its me did I misunderstand something . and is the fan set at a angle in the direction you want the gas to go ?

  • @solvssod you could set the fan at the direction you want the gas to flow but the way i was saying the fan is to start and warm up the gasifier. the engine would pull the woodgas fro the gasifier once ready. as for going to the piping from the gasifier a fan would pull or blow it there. i hope i answered your questions. send me a message or post another comment if i didnt explain it where it could be understood

  • looks like a standard fema style... makes lots of tar... can, and probably will stick up your engine's valves... speaking from experience here.

  • @tritowns what style of a gasifier would you suggest to lower the amount of tar produced

  • CHEAP TALK!

build and then make a video of the stove WORKING!

  • I have tried the fema still tinkering I think it needs a shaped hearth like coking coal in a blacksmiths forge also heated air intake and insulation. hearth would make the gas pass thru hot coals and crack the tars like the gek. the gek group has 10 15 minute videos that were great on how pyrolization reduction combustion and drying work agasinst each other and explains how you have an endothermic and exothermic reactions that need to balance out to maintain the 700 degrees required to gasify.

  • thank you this did help me up in Montana

  • @solvssod Thank you, I did not see many videos that explained it well so I tried. I am glad to see it helped.

  • join the yahoo woodgas group.... lots of info posted there, and check out the vids i've posted.

  • chasehav2014... look into "Imbert" gasifier design. A proven and functional design. One of the best sites Ive seen for quick, useful, interesting reading and videos...."gasifyer".

    Good Luck .
