I just bought this mic and i can hear it and everything but it will not record. I have all the settings in windows set to the mic and i have all the settings in my DAW (Acid Pro 7) set to the mic but still it records nothing....??? any one else have this problem? I even tried using the program called reaper that the company recommended and still nothing.

I was going crazy spending weeks trying to find a decent mic. The whole thing ended when I bought the 009.
The 009 is top notch.
The only problem with it (minor), is that there is not marking in the gain knob, indicating the set level.
I resolved the issue by marking it, but MXL should fix that for a mic this level.
