"Janwar" or "Jaanwar" (1965) means 'Animal' or 'Wild', is directed by Bhappi Sonie. Starring Shammi Kapoor, Rajshree, Rehman, Shyama, Rajendra Nath and Prithviraj Kapoor.
The movie was a lighthearted Romantic musical that further enhanced Shammi Kapoor's stature as the youth icon of the times.

It is notable for a rendition of the song "Tumse Hai Dil Ko pyar", set to the tune of the Beatles' "I Wanna Hold Your Hand".
Music is by Shankar Jaikishan.

Asha Bhosle (Marathi: आशा भोंसले) (born September 8, 1933) is an Indian singer. She is best known as a Bollywood playback singer, although she has a much wider repertoire. Her career started in 1943 and has spanned over six decades. She has done playback singing for over 1000 Bollywood movies and sold many records. She is the sister of the equally accomplished Lata Mangeshkar.

Asha Bhosle has won seven Filmfare Best Female Playback Awards out of 18 nominations. She won her first two awards in 1967 and 1968, when Lata Mangeshkar still used to accept the award (Mangeshkar asked not to be considered for the award nominations after 1969 to promote new talent). After receiving the award in 1979, Bhosle emulated her elder sister and requested that her name not be considered for the nominations hereafter. Despite this, Bhosle is the most frequent winner of this award to date, tying with Alka Yagnik. She was later given a Special Award for Rangeela in 1996, and the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement Award in 2001. Following is the list of her Filmfare Awards: * 1968: "Garibon ki Suno" (Dus Lakh, 1966) * 1969: "Parde Mein Rehne Do" (Shikar, 1968) * 1972: "Piya Tu Ab To Aaja" (Caravan, 1971) * 1973: "Dum Maro Dum" (Hare Rama Hare Krishna, 1972) * 1974: "Hone Lagi Hain Raat" (Naina, 1973) * 1975: "Chain Se Humko Kabhi" (Pran Jaye Par Vachan Na Jaye, 1974) * 1979: "Yeh Mera Dil" (Don, 1978)

* In 1997, Asha became the first Indian singer to be nominated for the Grammy Award, for Legacy, an album with Ustad Ali Akbar Khan. * She was honoured with the Padma Vibhushan by the Government of India.

Asha Bhosle received Padma Vibhushan from President Pratibha Patil on Monday May 5, 2008.

  • I think the dancing girl is Laxmi Chhaya, not Rajshree. Can some one compare with Aawara Ae Mere Dil Song from Raat Aur Din..Ther it is laxmi chhaya, the steps are matching...

  • @uttung80 - Thank you my dear friend for the valuable information.

    I appreciate it.

    Take care.

    Yuan.

  • @Mahagedara2 ...Yes, she is the beautiful Rajashree, the daughter of famous director Late V. Shantaram!

  • Only Rafi can cover The Beatles and turn it into something brilliant like the original.

  • I think she is Rajshree, the main actress. Can someone confirm it, please?

    Thank you.
