I remember this like it was yesterday. All my friends gathered at a local sports bar and it had the atmosphere of a playoff game. Everyone knew what was coming and as you guys know we didn't have to wait long. It was great night watching Claud get his due from McCarty.. That was a great rivalry just great hockey.

good for him. Lidstrom is a defenseman though. They score less. And between 4 cups, a Conn Smythe, 6 Norrises, 1000+ points and being the first European captain to ever win the cup, I'd say his career is on a very different level than the Turtle's.
And no doubt Lemieux was an effective guy and good in the playoffs. But he had no class. And when it comes to Wings fans we expect that from our guys. Clearly you Avs fans don't care about that.

@justinleftwinger Colorado doesn't have the edge in series wins, retard. They're 3-3. Here's what DETROIT has the edge in though. Division championships, conference championships, Presidents' Trophies, Stanley Cups, Conn Smythes, Norris', Selkes, Byngs, etc...
You guys were good for about 7 years. In those 7 years, Colorado had won 2 Cups. In those same seven years, Detroit had won 3 Cups. Looks like we have the edge...
