The Aral Sea, located between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, was once the fourth-largest lake in the world, but has diminished since. Al Jazeera travelled to Kazakhstan and found a faint glimmer of hope on the horizon.

thank GOD for World bank....without its help the kok Aral dam would not have been possible and the Aral sea would have finished....cheers for World Bank

All my seven and more generation from this land.When I was 15 I started to realise what tragedy occurred to our sea,to us,to land.So I felt grief,hopeless and angriness,just like this old men sitting and crying in empty house.
