Holy-Terrorist:>*=* Copper sulfate pentahydrate[CuSO4(H2O)5] is stuff to remove root in sewer?
*=* Interesting, is possible to make copper sulfate to electrolysis magnesium sulfate[MgSO4] in water[(H2O)2] with copper[Cu] metal to make dihydrogen[H2], magnesium hydroxide[Mg(OH)2] and copper sulfate[CuSO4] with good ratio and filtration water[H2O] looked in english wikipedia in rechearch page section[magnesium sulfate]!
*=* 0:25 Dont use metal spoon of cause little chemical reaction!

Where can you buy copper sulfate?

Woohoo, now I can make a bomb. :D

Copper sulfate is a carcinogen......

you look like my friends mum

this is not that toxic. just dont ingest it. if it gets on your skin, just wash them. i am doing a science research report and experiment on crystal growth. my sciencwe teacher told me abouth the toxicness of copper sulfate, so calm down, youll be just fine.
WOW!!! that was not that much help. You know that these crystals can be toxic

@mc84590 You can check the MSDS for copper sulfate. It has a relatively low toxicity for humans and other vertebrates (cats, dogs, birds etc.). The point of the vid was to show how easy the project is.

Is the crystal toxic? Because all the proporties should be trapped inside the crystal, right??

@SZJerkXVI Copper sulfate causes skin irritation. It's relatively safe, which is why it is used in ponds and sometimes pools, but I wouldn't eat the crystals.

How can we make it last for a very long time and how can we shape it out and is there any other way we can make different colors?
halo8909 5 months ago
@halo8909 If they are hydrated, the crystals last pretty much forever. The shape of the crystal is determined by the growing conditions, but you're bound by the triclinic form. The hydrate is blue; the other form is gray. Those are your two options unless you introduce impurities into the crystal.
