@shifteh110 the problem with your statement, is that the Iranian Revolution was almost... Perfect. The people were educated BEFORE they took to the streets. Education must happen before Sharia, or else the people will feel oppressed to an unfimiliar ideal.

Ali shariati said that social assumptions and analyses are not as universally true as scientific facts. He also said that one must be more concerned with the geography of what is said, if one is to get to the truth of the matter.

Are you trying to say that the Iranian people are not intellectually and socially developed? What about their 3,000 years of civilization.

I think in 1979, Iran was ripe for revolution, and the Islamic revolution in Iran is one of the most profound and successful in history.

Revolutions are not based on immediate successes, they are based on setting the necessary stages for success in the future. And that's what Iran is now.

God bless his great soul. Most of his ideas are relevant today as they were before. As an example, he wrote in late 1960s that revolution in a country whose people are not developed intellectually and socially will lead to tragedy. This is exactly what happened in the aftermath of 1979 Iranian revolution.
