A tribute to
Riggs-Radar Rider

Jerry Riggs is an American rock guitarist and vocalist.

Riggs is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee, and first became known as guitarist for the group Raggedy Ann,
a hard rock outit based in Atlanta, Georgia, in the late 1970s.
He formed his own band, Riggs in 1980, and handled both lead guitar and lead vocals in that group.
Two of the band's songs Radar Rider and Heartbeat were featured prominently in the 1981 animated feature film Heavy Metal.
They were also included on the movie's soundtrack release.

  • The lead singer is my dad he's Jerry Riggs im Noah Riggs

  • I used to go see Riggs all the time at little clubs in Atlanta. I was so psyched when they got signed. Then their album came out with the awful cover art, and they disappeared. Jerry went on to play with Pat Travers and that was that.

  • @noahharley2000 if true, love your dad's work, but i agree with others; so? find your own thing, you could be great at rock, or just be great at reading rocks (geology), don't ride on daddy's greatness, make your own.

  • @noahharley2000 your father = greatness

  • I always thought this was the best tune on the soundtrack. Although Cheap Trick's jam was pretty damn good, too.

  • @noahharley2000 Cool!

  • @BobberDC what happened is the manager was a total jerk and only cared about the money and they were in a contract with him so the band had to split up its not my dad's fault he left it was there only choice

  • Saw Riggs at my first concert opening for Rush on the Exit...Stage Left Tour.

  • Looks like pattern bombing with 1/2 percent of altitude CEP, is pretty damn accurate to me.

  • Fucking love this video for all time.

  • @verdemanthe1

Okay, that's fine. I just thought you sounded a little harsh on some of those comments. There's a lot of extreme metal that I dont like either, so I can relate.
