The thoughts I was thinking while I was in Ireland (both in the North, and briefly in the Republic). Uh, sorry if they were sappy.

I've done my best to make it as apolitical as I can.

  • I'm sorry to take away from the deep message of this video, but when you were in Northern Ireland did you happen to meet/see any particular band members around? :D

  • @kateroonistudios No? I don't think so anyway. Which band are you talking about?

  • wonderful! and I love that it is the 'young people' who are taking this message forward :) what a wonderful opportunity you have to be travelling around!!

(I also love the clover symbol in your Guinness!!)

  • @streetlighthalos I think maybe they only make the clover in the Guinness at the actual factory. It's a thing that says "This is the freshest Guinness you will ever drink!"

  • Could Oscar Wilde smile anything but sardonically? Wonderful thoughts, Rohan.

  • This video was well-thought and purposeful. I loved it. Also, I most certainly agree, no one should die for the sake of a flag.

  • great video, im irish, and im fairly young so it was really interesting to get an outsiders perspective of the place (seeing as i cant exactly leave just yet)

im glad to see that us irish arent univesally viewed with that old "drunken irishman" stereotype that most people seem to have. thank you

  • I wish I saw you! I live not so far from belfast

  • @RoboFillet It's like coffee art, you can get the clover anywhere and it's mostly unexpected and unasked for. But after living in Dublin I'm aware no self-respecting Irishmen would drink a Guinness with a clover on top. Guinness just doesn't taste the same in Australia, so hold on to the memory of the black gold and safe onward travels.

  • That is inspiring.

  • I love the way you think, Rohan. :)

  • This was amazing...I'm from Dublin and the troubles never effected me but what you said about us being proud is very true...I may not have fought to be Irish but the pride keeps going :)

  • @RoboFillet Two Door Cinema Club. If you haven't heard of them, theyre worth a listen :)

  • well said.

  • loved this. I actually need to visit Ireland one day...
