Jody's music was cool, and she was a sexie woman. Too bad she was not that strong a vocalist! Could have possibly been an even bigger star, even though I'm not sure why she was as big as she was. There were much better singers during that particular era that didn't get their due. Barbara Weathers of Atlantic Starr comes to mind

@kaabbaaq1 Her combination of well-crafted songs (most of which she co-wrote), natural dance abilities, and striking visual presentation are some of the reasons she hit big and has continued to remain relevant in the industry. And though she may not be a tear-the-house-down vocalist, she has an engaging style which draws the listener in.
