100-0 Coach Speaks (TV Interview Part 1): Micah Grimes

On January 13th, Covenant High School Girls' basketball coach Micah Grimes led his team to a victory over Dallas Academy. The only remarkable thing about the game was the final score. It was 100-0. Days later, Covenant's headmaster described the lopsided game as "shameful" and "an embarrassment." Grimes, however, felt he had done nothing wrong and refused to apologize. Less than two weeks later after a firestorm of national media coverage, Grimes was fired. Only the two teams and the dozen or so people that Grimes says were in the stands that night saw what happened and Grimes himself has never granted an interview to discuss his side of the story, until now. Sunday on Outside the Lines, Darren Lyn speaks exclusively with the winning coach of the controversial 100-0 game. Plus, for the first time anywhere, never before seen video of the game in question.

the coach seems like a nice guy and he respected the other team is what im trying to say. and he didnt want to treat them in a special way...

@XtheManimal exactley dude you need to treat the other team like athletes not "special kids" and think about it if they apologized that would be embarresing for the girls of dallas academy cause think about it what do you say when your in front of the school..."Sorry we beat you so badley"? it sounds more like an insult than a apology?

they went into the game just like any other game and in the end the better team won, this is all over national news just cuz its 100-0 if it was 98-0 it wouldeve been forgotten the next day
