do you know how long baby finches have to stay with their parents because I'm adopting one from a friend of mine and I was wondering how long until I could take him or her home (it didnt hatch yet so we dont know the gender)

ok so i just got some finches and i wanted to know how long intill the baby finches will hatch if you know cause i dont know if the eggs r good or not

I just saw your comment. Sorry for taking so long to respond. Once you see the eggs, the incubation period is around 18 days (give or take a few). When they have been incubating for 10-14 days, you can take them and hold a bright light behind them to see a shadow of what's inside. If you see nothing other than the yolk, you can dispose of them.
