This is my second reading of this poem, paced a little better, I hope, than the previous one, and with some photos. The photos look a little pixelated to me. Perhaps I didn't download them correctly. They are all public domain. Ref. www.public-domain-photos.com

  • You've got a great voice for the classics. You breathe new life into them with every reading!

  • Thank you for the kind words.

  • He brings us into a personal human moment of reflection doesn't he?

  • Yes. Frost is one of the few poets I liked from an early age. Most poetry didn't begin being enjoyable until I was much older.

  • Well, I was premature in putting down modern poetry. A man here on YouTube named David Randall Curtis has written and spoken what he calls "spoken word poetry," which is as resonant and evocative as any more formal work. I would encourage anyone who reads this to check out his channel.

  • I'll have to read more poetry. Modern things seem mostly to be blank verse. I'm sure some of it is good, but I think that one of the things that makes good poetry as resonant as it is, is the distillation into a form. It encourages cogency of thought while drawing out images. To me, blank verse has always seemed a copout. Of course, I could be completely wrong. No doubt someone will set me straight.

  • read more poetry on vid.A good practice.

  • Still one of my favorites!

  • Certainly one of my favorite poems.
