@notard1 WTF? (What The Fuck)
-
The introduction title says there was "fertilizer to be spread, but no-one to spread it". Bullshit, theres such a shortage of work these days for ag aircraft that they are cut throating each other just to get jobs. Ive lived on a farm all my life and use to get a Fletcher in annually. The ground spreaders can do most of it now. The cost is really high for Aerial Topdressing now, so we only use aircraft when we really have to. You look twice now if you even see a Fletcher working where we live.

Did the pilot want to be a fighter pilot ?

to all you who are saying stupid things of waste, Y? this vid shows pure passion...can u not feel it?

Is there any strategy about where to spray the load. The video doesn't show any spreader underneath the aircraft. And footages look like emergeny dumping to me ? Looking for explanations... ;)

@flyingmakaya Gday mate. They use Differential GPS to map out the paddock/field and then programme in the run spacing which brings up GPS lines to follow. They dont need a spreader for superphosphate usually. It gets into the airflow and wingtip vorticies and spreads it out pretty evenly by the time it hit the ground. Definately not emergency dumping, it unloads 2 tonnes in 3-4 seconds in an emergency dump. I think the application rate was around 250kg/hectare on this job.

Na mate, this one is down in South Canterbury. Same paint scheme as Pauls one tho, just a few years older.

The farmers wern't happy because they couldn't get hold of the pilot to do the work. He was away, once again wasting the bosses money burning up fuel at $300 per hour making this stupid amaturish video
