@SkateboardP63 well i am not saying he is not a great player . Quite the opposite , he is extraordinary . But in my opinion Xavi is the core of this team and the greatest player the last 5 years . Without Messi barcelona can handle , without Xavi they cant even win most of the times...
And I am not saying that he has to do anything by himself to be great , I am just saying that THIS team makes him look unstoppable , check his perfomance with national team and you will see the difference

its like all the team works for messi to score . I would say passes and all the game around messi is what makes him that good , not he as an infividual . Overestimated Messi imo

@pitakos Well that's kind of what it means to be a striker: The midfield builds the the game and the strikers finish it. Still, saying he's not doing anything as an individual is just ridiculous. He's scored plenty of individual goals in his career so far.
Besides, even with a good team a player has to be magnificent himself to make full use of the opportunities and the team's talent. A third rate player couldn't do the things the likes of messi do with those chances.
