  • Wow, that is pretty wild. Can't believe that the leader would decline anyone from going to the summit, just because one couldn't make it. I think in that situation, that one person, just has to sit it out, while everyone else takes in the summit. What a wild decision! Get on up there this summer! The last mile is very steep, and then there's a bit of a technical hike, but well worth it!

  • Going this weekend for the first time :)

  • I hiked this mtn. nearly 19 years ago with a group of 13 of us. About 50 yards from the summit, one person in our group couldn't go any further so the leader of the group decided if we all couldn't go, none of us could go. This has left me with a feeling of unaccomplishment for almost 2 decades. One day, I'll be back and I'm going to summit Mt. Yale!
