First time I heard this I was in Montreal for Expo '67.I was 13/14.Some guys & I stayed in a motel that used to be a convent,"El Convento" Motel. We called it "El Dumpo". The Chapel,converted to a Club,a popular one.This song was outrageous,such a wild place, the French Canadians dancing,ETC.,too, & where there used to be religious statues,people danced & stripped,etc(long before the U.S. did anything like that).Loved how free it was there & this song lives in this experience 4 me! AWESOME feel.

I've never watched or listened to The Doors too much before today, but I've got two things to say about this:
Jim Morrison? Probably the sexiest man I ever laid eyes on.
The opening organ lick? Probably the sexiest sound an organ has ever made.
