AT WAR Film - Trailer 1

At War is a documentary film shot and directed by Scott Kesterson, who spent a year embedded with US forces in Afghanistan. The film is produced by David Leeson, Pulitzer Prize recipient and currently Senior Producer of Video for The Dallas Morning News. The film employs Leeson's teachings of subject-driven storytelling that allows the truth of the moment to speak without the interference of personal bias.




The film explores the timeless nature of war and conflict, and ultimately challenges us to look at ourselves as beings filled with love and hate, fear and courage, passion and chaos.

Just a question, in the intro it says embedded with US soldiers. Scott was with Canadians as well to my knowledge and many of those shots you saw in the trailer are of Canadian troops.

So I'm wondering if embedded with NATO troops would be a more appropriate intro, or maybe I'm just wrong and he spent like 3 days with the Canadians. Anyone?

Scott was embedded with US NAtional Guard Embedded Training Teams (ETTs). The work shot with the Canadians was during Operation Mountain Thrust, in which the Afghan National Army and ETTs were attached to the Canadians for the mission.

If im correct you cant watch it. makers of this docu have problems releasing it and yes trailer was from 2007 and still to this day its not released.
