June is SUPER LOOPY from tiredness and colditude, but here are her recommendations for getting a frozen car lock to cooperate!

Steps:
1. Jiggle the handle and try the lock again, then jiggle it while trying the key and all combinations of those things
2. Try to heat up the lock with your awesome fiery breath
3. Take a lighter or matches and heat up your key before putting it in the lock
4. Give up and call your mom

  • Putting hand-sanitizer on your key also seems to work well.

  • @0chetbarney0 Wow, I had never heard that before - thanks! :-)

  • June, shouldn't you be October the Homemaker this month? Love the video!!

  • @epiphaknee Hah, so glad you like it! :-) June is my favorite month, because it matches my name - I don't match my name to the month though :-D

  • Another thing you can do with a lighter and a key.

    Play threshold of pain. :D

Heat key>See can hold it in a clinched fist for longer!

    Ah games.

  • @Skeletonwitharaygun Yikes! That doesn't sound like a very fun game!

  • Your first +1! ;-) Thanks for the tip! Although now it seems that my frozen lock problem is more than this, my door won't stay shut at all now. WD-40 or bungee cords here I come! :-D

  • haha at 2:25 you flicked us all off it made me laugh

  • @JunetheHomemaker You could even cover your car's driver's side with a heavy tarp and the next day when you go to leave just pull it off. All the snow and ice will come off with it. Your door and windshield would be frost=free. But the hillbilly trick is the best one; that way you can help others who have frozen locks.

  • Stay warm, Happy Holidays!
