@Mfischer888 A stereotypical behaviour caused by under-stimulation and one caused by f.x. stress can be completely similar. The different types of stereotypical behaviours are often due to the species of the animal, or the variety of possible behaviours in its enclosure.
You can rarely tell what has caused the stereotypical behaviour, and no matter how great a zookeeper you are, you'll NEVER be able to tell the precise reason from a 51 sek. movie clip, of the behaviour only.

@snarsh90 And how would you know about the treats? I've been working with racoons for over three years, and I can tell the difference between a racoon reaching for a treat, and a racoon performing stereotypical behaviour! A Racoon would very rarely jump like that for food, because it's not really part of their natural behaviour. They would climb for it instead.
