  • I posted a new tune, Morrison's Jig... check it out... on my youTube page.

  • I love this arrangement. You play well. Is there any way you could create sheet music of this arrangement to share? Or even sell? Or perhaps you could do a youtube video teaching us how to play this song? I keep watching this video to try to learn how to play, but it goes too fast and I am way lost....

  • @kirosdawn

Thanks... yeah i don't know that I will ever sit down myself and write out sheet music for it...heh...

I could see making a how to video tho perhaps... I really need to record some other tunes as well sometime... Maybe sometime this year...

  • What kind of dulcimer is this? What company made it?

  • @mysticblack1111

It is a 4 octave 3.5 chromatic Concertmaster by Jerry Reed Smith. You can find his website and dulcimers for sale at his website at: SongOfTheWood

  • @mcomet (for some reason it commented on an old account that I deleted a long time ago)

But anyway... Holy crap, over $2,000? That's a bit expensive.

  • @Blacckkfire

Yeah I got it used on eBay from a person who was new to HD and thus saved a little money... but the Jerry Reed Smith dulcimers are amazingly nice... this was my 3rd HD... when I started learning I had a 12/11 etc...

  • @MrSquidward9 Well, it does work the same basic was as a piano. It's just that the 'hammer' isn't striking the string with nearly the same amount of force, and the string isn't nearly as tough or tense. Beyond that it's actually a very similar concept.

This thing is basically a harpischord where you hit the strings yourself instead of press keys that do it. Awesome instrument.

  • A wonderful rendition! - Floor van Staarlendam

  • the lower notes sound a bit like a piano

  • omg! so so good.

  • sounds so great

  • Will you know what real dulcimer is? Watch this: watch?v=3OmERWCitGA&list=PL75DF78A86FD9666A&index=8&feature=plpp_video

  • Is anyone else considering this instrument to be a genius idea for Heavy Metal music?

  • 揚琴 , a very popular Chinese musical instrument ..........

  • Can't thumb up enough
