Frank Schaefer, author of "Crazy for God," decries the use of Nazi allusions among a handful of protesters, then cannot resist employing his own Nazi allusion. Another reason the Rachel Maddow Show is the second funniest show on TV (after Countdown with Keith Olbermann).

  • Moorrogue. I don't want to get into a political debate(what would be the point). I do, however feel the need to point that there was ZERO in this video to support your theory of hypocrisy.Shaeffer claims the right is comparing Hitler and Obama and implying that someone should"do something about it" Agree or disagree he never sways from this. You trying to make it something else is (pick one) misleading, dishonest, stupid etc...

  • finerbiner, I agree with you that you should not get into political debates. There is far too much thinking involved. So I will keep this very simple.

Frank Schaefer expresses disgust at conservative activists invoking Hitler and Nazism to criticize Obama, then Schaefer invokes Hitler and Nazism to criticize the activists.

When something is OK when Frank Schaefer does it, and abhorrent when his opponents do it, I dont think its off-base to call it hypocrisy.

  • Frank schaefer is very insightful individual. His book "crazy for god" was very interesting. I'm glad he found his way out of lala land and back into reality. Bill buckley went through the same experiance. He eventually went on to clean up the GOP. I hope Schafer can do the same thing.

  • Rachel Maddow is a lot smarter than you, dude.

  • @jrwel14 No one's blaming Obama for everything...just for his faults...not anyone else's

  • @puffball9 I don't blame Bush for everything. Just not going to act like a Republican and blame Obama for everything. Palin did say that. It's on Youtube.

  • @jrwel14 She didn't phrase it like that...the hype on that came from SNL. the difference is conservatives always have the longer reigns of power. Obama isn't doing anything to bring oil down, in fact he proposed a plan to give money to Brazil for them to drill instead of drilling for our own oil! The 'blame Bush' statue has expired, you can't blame his policies on everything, i mean we're passed the mid term for christ's sakes

  • @puffball9 And, Palin said she knew about foregn affairs because people can see Russia from parts of Alaska.

People will find that Conservatives suck as well. Then, it will be Democrats again. Those in power get blamed when it wasn't their fault. High oil prices under Bush, now Obama.

  • @jrwel14 Ann didn't know about the troops in Vietnam and President Obama didn't know there were only 50 states...like i said, everyone says stupid shit. If people are so fed up with conservatives why did they get crushed last November? This is a pattern, we go through a long Republican rule, then America says, o lets try something new and they elect a bunch of liberals, then they soon realize that liberals suck and go back to the right...look at the past election cycles...

  • @puffball9 Ann? She doesn't know what troops are fighting in the mideast or back during the Vietnam war.

Look, all conservatives do is lie. Reagan's budget director talking about the big Republican tax lie. Reagan's Trickle down, Obama's India trip costing as much as 2 billion with 34 ships being involved. The Death Panels. Higher taxes means less revenue. Lower taxes helps the economy. These are just some of the lies by conservatives. And, more people are realizing it. And, getting sick .

  • @jrwel14 the difference is that BECK doesn't come on the air a few months later and tell people how 'irresponsible' they are for 'inciting violence with dangerous rhetoric.' you keep saying they 'tell the truth' which is bull shit...they're nothing more than loudmouths that spew their stupid liberal opinions...no news, no facts...just partisan hacks. Bash Ann all you want, she just finds facts and puts her spin on them to infuriate stupid liberals and get them to bitch about her...

  • @puffball9 Double standard?

For telling the truth about lieing conservatives. The person who holds the record for yelling,"Nazi" is Beck.

he joke is Ann Coulter and Crowley. Ann knows very little about what she speaks of.

  • @jrwel14 As far as the rest of us are concerned she isn't...yes it was a joke, playing off her butchy-ness...but you can't deny her double standard...
