Three man gave $10 each= $30. Cashier realised that he over charged them $5. $30-$5=$25.
The waiter decide to keep $2 ( Meanie ), and give the $1 dollar back to each person. So each person paid $9. All together they paid so all together they paid $27. $27+$2=$29 not $30. But think carefully. It should be $27-$2 = $25 (the sum they should've paid) and thats the truth. And if so, it would be $27+$3 because of the $1 each person paid.

there is no missing dollar

this problem is really tricky, but not all the statements he said are correct

They didn't pay 9 dollars each. They paid 8 1/3 dollars each, then got a dollar back. 25/3=8 1/3. then a dollar back each makes 25+3=28. The waitress kept 2. 28+2=30.

Monopoly money!!!
They paid $9 each, so that's $27. Their bill was $25. She took $2. So it makes sense. There's no missing dollar.

He is messing with u. He said random calculations to see if u were listening to the riddle 30-5=25. the waitress took 2 and gave them 3. 2+3=5. 25+5=30. he is tricky. He says they each payed 9 bucks because 10-1=9. THINK!! What the hell does 10-1 have to do with the riddle. He is checking if ur paying attention. Lol ur tricky
