Here's the inhabitants of my Nano reef tank (10gal) being fed with Brine shrimps nauplius.
You can see the 2 Doryrhamphus pessuliferus (pipefish), the Stonogobiops yasha, the 2 Eviota pellucida, 2 Trimma cana and my latest Kauderni breeding, amongst Thor shrimps, hermits, snails... What a tiny but exciting little world in few liters of water!

The 2 pipefish were on acclimatation as well, but they passed out 6 month after their arrival, soon after this video was shot, even if you can see them eat frozen food, it's a specie I won't ever recommand to anyone.

I have a Doryrhamphus ecsisus for over one year now, he's really really much easier than the D. pessuliferus shown on the video.

  • Hi,

The kauderni is a young one from my breeding, he was here just on hold for few weeks so he can grow and be given away. Now I have a much larger refigium where I stock my young kaudernis, and the nano is just occupied by less than 1" fishes.

  • nice nano

  • Very nice. I am in the process of setting up a seagrass pipefish tank and Doryhamphus Pessuliferus and Corythoichthys sp are up there on my list. Did you have any difficulty getting them to eat or deworming them?
