As part of his "Paulson on Principles" video/column series for Right Network, Dr. Terry Paulson explores the importance of balancing effective diplomacy and a strong military as a core conservative value. Our Constitution affirms the government's role in maintaining domestic tranquility and providing for the common defense. As Teddy Roosevelt preached, "Talk softly and carry a big stick." America prefers diplomacy over war. But since war "sometimes" is the answer, conservatives call for preparedness and vow never forget the legacy left by soldiers who have given their lives in support of liberty.
