Back then one amazing minute, with a awsome, original, orchestral song to take you into a good kids-show - Nowadays it takes a 21 year old playing a 16 year old in a lame live-action program singing a typical popsong, all being about the same

The whole package of Freakazoid!, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain was the best thing for a kid back when it came out. Probably still is. Batman TAS also came out then, also by WB, but it had a different target audience.

@ssokolow Tiny Toon adventures was nice, but not Great.

@coladict Point. It was more along the lines of a well-made children's show rather than a show with layers of meaning for all ages.

@coladict Of course, now that I think about it, the best thing for THAT was probably The Brave Little Toaster. I read somewhere that it was the first animated film to win a certain award and, re-watching it as an adult, I'm amazed at how much social commentary is there which flew right over my head as a kid.
