Johann Friedrich Fasch was the music director of the court at Anhalt-Zerbst, Germany from 1722 until his death in 1758. He provided the Elector of Saxony with a lot of music, which survives today in Dresden's music archives. Nearly 80 orchestral suites survive. This fine piece is in G major; and is available as a score with instrumental performing parts from Brian Clark's "Prima la Musica!" Be sure to inquire ;)

  • This music is absolutely incredible. The talent that this composer had is quite simply amazing. I can only imagine what it would have been like to be in the Court of the Elector Of Saxony and sitting and listening to a private concert being conducted for the Monarch and his court. It had to be simply amazing. What a time in history.

  • Beautiful!

  • @Bachsoboe
