Gradius Generation Bonus Points Locations

I'm pretty busy as of late, with both a Wii and a DS. I'm only going to get even busier, though, as school starts back up for me in a few days. However, I decided to whoop up a video for you guys. And I think I've struck gold on my first video of 2008, with some information I don't think a lot of people know. To start off, let's do a little trivia...don't worry, it's only one simple question: How many bonus points locations are in the game? The answer may surprise you...it's not one, like in my other videos...there are actually EIGHT known locations where you can score 5,000 points by just hovering in the right spot (sometimes at the right time). Some of these are quite risky, though. I've marked how difficult these are to get without dieing with *. This was done on Easy Loop 1, to make sure bullets don't interfere. Here is the rundown on all eight:

1: Stage 1-3. You guys already know about this one. I've collected this in my other videos. *

2: Stage 3-2. It's in the first large galaxy of fire, where two fire lions appear. It's difficult to get, because if you miss it the first time, you have to deal with fire lions to get another chance. Plus, you risk dieing by collision with the galaxy. ***

3: Stage 4-4. Lower-right corner of the first rock pillar after the small waterfalls. Pretty easy to get, but grab quickly cause the "coconut" will arrive soon. *

4: Stage 4-5. Easily missed, cause it's out of the way. You'll obtain it faster if you move up at the split than if you head down. *

5: Stage 5-2. Somewhat tricky. You can leave the Moai alone, but watch for their ring attacks. Also, get out quickly, cause the collision with the right Moai is earlier than you expect. **

6: Stage 6-4. A little tricky to find, it's the bigger hole along the right wall close to where the boss appears. I think this one is available temporarily when the boss appears and might disappear when the battle begins. The boss can't hit you right here until it starts spinning the tentacles around. **

7: Stage 8-2. Tricky to find, and in the bottom-most dead-end. Just hover in the space under the red turret to obtain it. However, it's almost impossible to make it to the lane above without at least 3 speed-ups. Only daring aces should attempt this one without dieing. ***

8: Stage 8-8. To get this one, you'll have to do some tight dodging, cause these fast enemies cannot be destroyed. It is in one of the holes in the ceiling just before section 8-9. It's the one with the huge beam of light shining on the left side. Very risky to get, though easier than 8-2. ***
