  • Hi

Great vid. How do you draw a rectangle inside another rectangle - and make sure the inner rectangle is a set distance from the outer rectangle? Like a house inside a garden - it's walls might be 3 feet from the edge of the garden. Thanks.

  • @toplod Hello toplod,

To get another rectangle inside another rectangle within a specific distance, you have to use the Offset tool. This video will elaborate more and if you have further questions, freely ask please. Check this video in my profile .. Google Sketchup Tutorials: Offset

Thanks for the comment. Cheers mate.

  • if i want a line say 132" long when using the line tool is there a way i can just type 132" and it does it please help p.s. keep up the good work

  • @idoAUTOMATION hi there. if you want a line, select the Line tool and simply draw a line - do not worry about the length yet. after a line's been drawn, immediately type in 132" and press Enter.

if i understand your question right, you can't select the Line tool and then type 132" without FIRST drawing a line; a line MUST be drawn before typing in a length! Sketchup doesn't recognise a method you described.

    thanks for watching, idoAUTOMATION!

  • @11swallowedinthesea thats great and you reply very quick thanks alot cheers
